Oshkosh, WI · Women 50 to 60

Strength you can measure.

Balance and strength training for busy women working around injury or physical limits. Every exercise is explained, because "I refuse to allow the client to not know the reasons for their efforts."

The Problem

Sound familiar?

  1. 01

You want to get stronger, but you are not sure what is safe for you.

An old injury, a doctor's note, a joint that complains. Most programs skip right past it.

  2. 02

You have tried workouts that never told you why.

Without the reason behind a movement, it is hard to keep going when progress feels slow.

  3. 03

You have no clear way to tell if anything is changing.

Feeling a little better is nice. You want numbers you can actually point to.

The Method

You will know the reason behind every rep, and you will see the numbers move.

Shown first

Before each exercise you get "a visual example along with a qualitative explanation."

Tied to your goal

The explanation connects to what you came for, whether that is balance, strength, or both.

Measured

Progress is tracked in numbers, so you can see it, not guess at it.

Client results are coming soon. I would rather show you real ones than made-up ones.

What Changes

What you walk away with.

Steadier balance

Balance work that is progressed on purpose, so everyday movement feels more secure.

Real strength

Strength built around your limitations, not in spite of them, and tracked over time.

Understanding

You will be able to recall each exercise and the reasoning behind it, even between sessions.

Practice Notes

Scales before sonatas.

Step 01 · Listen

We go over your goals, history, and any doctor's notes or areas of concern.

Step 02 · Assess

We establish your starting numbers for strength and balance, so we have something to measure against.

Step 03 · Train

Each exercise is shown, explained, and connected to your goal before you do it.

Step 04 · Measure

We revisit the numbers regularly and adjust the plan based on what they show.

About Joseph

Self-taught first, then certified.

I started by teaching myself how to fix problems in my own body. Studying with ISSA is what made me truly knowledgeable about what was going on, and now I am confident I can do the same for you.

Training as a craft

I decided to regain and maintain my physical abilities "not only as a necessity, but also as an art." I bring that same care to every client. Read more about my approach.

Questions

Before you reach out.

I do not know where to start.

That is where we start. The first session is an assessment: your goals, your history, any doctor's notes, and how each area of concern moves today. The plan is built from that, not from a template.

I have tried programs before.

Most programs hand you exercises without the reasoning. Here every exercise comes with a visual example and an explanation tied to your goal, so you know exactly why you are doing it.

I do not have time to be in the gym every day.

You do not need to be. Sessions are planned around your week, in person in Oshkosh or online, and every exercise is built to be easy to remember and repeat at home.

I am recovering from an injury. Is this safe?

Your concerns are heard first and addressed in every session. If you have a doctor's note or a specific restriction, the program is written around it, and progress is measured so we can see it is working.
